Well, today is the last day of the market!! I am both excited and a little sad. The West Stockbridge market has been wonderful this year, and I really appreciate the support from all of you! I had some visitors this week at the farm! I reached out to Capital Roots, an organization out of the Capital Region of New York that organizes community gardens, and food donations for over 40 soup kitchens and food pantries!! It was so exciting to have them come pick some kale, squash and carrots and know that all that food is going to people in need. It really warms my heart to think of our farm and that healthy organic food going into the bellies of people who are down on their luck. So with that, come and gather the last of the seasons produce knowing this food was grown with love and that we are spreading that love all over the capital region! This week I'll have: Butternut Squash Sage (which is delicious when baked with butter on that butternut squash!) Purple top turnips Potatoes Carrots Onions Head Lettuce Nice comfort food for this cooler weather!! See you all at the market!! With warmth, Farmer Molly #colfaxfarm #weststockbridge #weststockbridgefarmersmarket #capitalroots
